Thomas Jefferson Scott was born in Henry Co., Al  on 17 January  1841. 
Clarenda Elizabeth Simms was born in Alabama  on 16 Oct 1848 and died
in Texas on 15 Nov 1902. I have little knowledge of her other than my parents
told me that T.J. went back to Henry County, Al. to marry her and that she had a
brother and sister, Uncle Buck Simms and Aunt (?) Frank (Frankie?) Simms. 
T.J. Served in the Confederate Army during the civil war.

In the 1910 Shelby county census, Thomas Jefferson Scott,
was living in the home of Samuel Berry Scott, their son.
T.J.'s age was listed as 69. His Wife, Elizabeth died in 1902.
